Re: 1180d

The ticket merely reflects the section of the V&T law that you violated. In this instance, 1180d is simply referring to "speed in zone."

Pleading not guilty and requesting a hearing is always recommended. The driver can benefit by having a hearing. More often, however, the ticket can be resolved through the mail. Hiring an experienced traffic attorney in the area that understands the use of radar, its accuracy, and the certifications required to use it properly is vital to not only trying to win, but to keep your insurance premiums lower for years to come. Paying a little today may save you two or three times in the future.

Our firm handles these types of issues and would be happy to help. I would need to review the ticket and see what can be done. Please contact my firm and I would be happy to assist.

Re: 1180d

I am very familiar with Victor Town Court and its prosecutor. Normally, I can contact the prosecutor and work the matter out without your appearance.

Our firm represents many automobile and truck drivers throughout the state in these matters.

We would like to see the speeding ticket reduced to a parking ticket. This solution to your problem, would eliminate any points on your license, and any possibility that the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles would intervene. Furthermore, a parking ticket would not be cause for the insurance company to raise your rates.

Please give me a call if you need our assistance. We are less than an hour away from the court

Usually these matters are resolved through "plea bargaining" with the prosecuters. I am a former Traffic Court Judge in NY and I handle matters such as yours on a regular basis. You may contact my office via phone or e-mail for a free consultation.
