Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

hi im 16 and i live in Rochester, New York. Yes i know i screwed up badly but i have a learners permit and ive had it for about 5 months. recently i got caught driving alone. i got charged for speeding and operating out of class. Ive heard from many people that were in my situation around here that there cases got dropped and they didnt have to wait til 18 to get there license. Is there anyone here that can tell me if my road test is going to be delayed until im 18? or maybe even 6 months? im just trying to do anything i can to be able to take my road test on time. I have a appearance/pre trial conference coming up soon , is there anything i can tell the prosecutor that will have him debate on dropping the charges and just giving me community service? please help

If the charges are dropped to non moving violation they cannot suspend your driver's license. If the prosecutor doesn't offer non moving violations at the pre-trial conference you can ask for an adjournment to obtain an attorney.
