Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

had a more than 10 suspension and was pulled over by the police

i have had about 14 suspension which i neglected to go to my hearing dates do to financial reasons. and i couldnt pay for some of the tickets. recently i have taken out my dads car and i was pulled over for not having a seat belt. the police takes my license and finds out that have multiple suspensions and now i am being charged a felony driving with 10 or more suspensions on my license (vtl ????i forgot the numbers) with the suspension i also had 3 warrents for summons which i have never responded to. after i have went through the bookings, the judge placed a bail on me for $5000 i have made this bail and showed up for the date they have given me. in that date the judge dismissed the three summons but the felony charged he gave me another date at part 40 which i am now waiting for. i have a clean criminal record this is my first arrest. and the d.a. offered me a plea bargain of 1 month jailwith3 year probation. i rejected it.i also went back to the dmv and paid off all my tickets (about 10 tickets) and they reinstated my and also put me on the drivers assesment program. now i worried what the worst that could happen on the next date. i need some advice on what should i do. my next date is in the beginning of december

The fact that you cleared up all of your suspensions is a mitigating factor and should help you in your plea negotiations. You have no real legal defense to these charges, but with a skillful criminal defense attorney perhaps you could avoid jail. You may call my office for a free phone consultation @ 7188340087.
