Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

Auo

i had recieved an AUO ticket in new york. i had gotten a no seatbelt ticket in 05 when i didn't have a license and wasn't driving which i wound up not paying and so got scofflawed. i got a letter saying that my license that i didn't have was suspended. then in 07 i got pulled over for not signaling and i got a AUO ticket is that possible if i didn't have a license to suspend in the first place. i am very unclear about this because you normally get a AUO if you have a suspended license but i didn't have one to begin with and now it is on my record. can this be amended?

Re: Auo

Actually it's not your license that gets suspended when you fail to answer/pay, it's your privilege to drive in NYS.

So unfortunately the 511 is valid. Since AUO is a crime, most courts will allow you to plead it down to a violation.

Where did this occur?
