Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
my boyfriend was arrested for a warrent for failure to pay a fine.if a person is in custody for failure to pay a ticket fine can you pay the fine for them or does the actual person who has to pay the fine is the only one that can pay it?

Bring cash to the clerk's office and they will take the money. I have never seen a situation where they have refused payment. If you try to pay with a credit card they may want it in the name of the defendant but other than that you should be able to take care of it.
