Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

Changing a not guilty plea

I want to know if I received a speeding ticket last year (Nov of 2003) and plead not guilty and now have a court date for July 14, 2004, can I change my plea to guilty and just pay the fine? Or is there a way to change the court date?

Re: Changing a not guilty plea

You may do either, you can always plead guilty before or at the date of trial,or you can request an adjournment for good cause such as to obtain counsel. For more info such as a plea bargain possibility you may call my office @718-834-0087.

Plead the ticket down at the time you are in Court. If you can't make it, call the Court and ask for an adjournment. Do it a few days before the Court date, not on the day of.

Good Luck
