Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

Do I need to come to court and how many points will I get.

I am a resident of New Jersey. I was driving from NYC and recieved a ticket going on Verazano Narrows Bridge. The cop says I was going 76 on a 45 mile zone. My question is how many points do I as a NJ resident should expect to recieve from this. Second question is, do I have to show up to court, and is there a chance that this can be pleaded down to something less serious.

Depending on your record, it can always be reduced to something like "failure to obey a traffic device".

It is an excess speed charge which requires a personal appearance before the court. From your question it is hard to determine which court has jurisdiction, if you contact me with more information, I can be of greater assistance. I have a phone listing, an e-mail address to wit:[email protected] and a web-site nydrunkdrivingdefense.com use any to communicate with me.
