Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Deposition Request
Is there a time constraint on requesting a deposition for a traffic ticket? I am told that CPL 100.25-CPL 100.50 contain the requirement of 30 days from date the ticket was issued...is this fact?

Re: Deposition Request
Not exactly. It must be made before you plead
guilty, or before a trial starts, but not more
than 30 days after the return date on the ticket
This will then trigger other time considerations.
