Re: Error on ticket

It is a possibility but it is more likely that the Patrolman will be allowed to change the information.

Better to do a cross examination of the police officer that gets him to admit he took the information for the ticket from the reggie, he was careful and the information on the ticket reminds him of the car. That he is sure the identifing information is correct and that he is always careful. Then ask him if there is anything he wants to change in his testimony.

On your side of the story, produce the registration. Tell the judge the ticket is wrong and ask that the case be dismissed.

You would be far better served by having a lawyer do this however as it is harder than it seems.

Good Luck.

Re: Error on ticket

These errors are ministerial and because at trial you have the right to confront and cross-examine,they will not result in automatic dismissal. I am a former Traffic Court Judge ,who regularly handles matters such as these, you may contact my office @ 7188340087 for a free phone consultation.
