Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Hazards on the road/PotHoles
What do I need to do in order to file a claim against the city or county for not fixing a pothole in the middle of a highway which is hazardous to motorists. Also, an 18-wheeler tire was in the middle of the road causing my car to swerve and fall into the pothole. I now have close to $3000 worth of damage to my car. what can i do?

Start by filing a 'notice of claim' and follow up with a summons and complaint in ny civil court.
