Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Jurisdiction of NY State Park Police on public roads
A NY State Park Police Officer ticketed me for a moving violation on a NYC roadway. Do Park Police Officers have jurisdiction or is the ticket automatically invalid? The infraction occured on a public roadway, but he cited it as on a roadway adjacent to a NYS park facility (adjacent, but not within, and still public).
