Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Learner Permit Revoked
My learner permit is revoked due to driving without insurance. I test drove a new car when it still had no insurance. My permit is revoked for one year. Is there any way I can still drive during this period? Or appeal this revocation? I cannot apply for a restricted license since I only have a learner permit.

Re: Learner Permit Revoked
There is a problem here. It is the licensed auto dealer's responsibility to have insurance for 'test drives'.
In addition, as a learner, you must have had a licensed driver next to you. Again, you are not the responsible party.
You clearly did not have a lawyer defending you! I don't care what the DA told you, if you had a licensed driver in the car with you, there would have been no suspension.
This can be fixed. Give me a call for an appointment. The first consultation is for no fee.
