Re: Nassau County State trooper
Nassau County has a Traffic violations bureau that has a prosecutor in it and in which you can plea bargain. Plead not guilty and speak to the prosecutor and see if you can reach a disposition. If not ask for an adjournment to get a a lawyer.
OTOH to get the best shot at a plea bargain bring a lawyer from the begining.
Good luck.

Re: Nassau County State trooper
Having an attorney with you in court would give you the best chance at the most substantial reduction of the charges possible. In Nassau they use a DA to prosecute these offenses and they usually are more open to reductions when dealing with attorneys. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination.
