Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

NY weather related parking ticket /plus delayed hearing date

Last year I received a parking ticket, parking ina fire zone, during a blizzard. I would ahve parked normally but the lot had not been plowed and parking anywhere else I would have gotten stuck. I send in a not guilty plea, then call to change to guilty with an explanation. I was told they do not have a hearing officer yet, and would be contacted. I moved in September to another state, and last week I get a notice of hearing date forwarded to me, the hearing was a few weeks back. I called and was told there was nothing I could do, but they removed the additional $75 fee for not showing up. Is there any more I can do? I can't really travel back to fight it. Should I just pay it? It was issued by a town code enforcement official, if it matters.

I guess it depends on how much they charged you. A parking ticket does not put points on your license, hence it is probably better to just pay it, but only you can make that decision.
