Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Operating out of class ticket with speeding 25mph
Actually I am not guilty of operation out of class because I was carrying a Chinese license and I found it is valid here in NYS (The officer saw my learner permit and just ignored my license.) So should I plea not guilty and appear in the court or I plea guilty and write this explanation in the designated area?
Also I was caught because of speeding. I admit it but this could be really serious if I was charged with speeding and operating out of class?

While some judges can be difficult with an unlicensed operation violation, I believe the issue is really a guilty plea to a 6-point speed.
In addition to the fine (somewhere around $250 w surcharge), there will be a state assessment for an additional $300.
