Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
parking lot
I pulled out of a parking lot in upstate New York at 10 miles per hour. I was pulled over for not stopping at the entrance of the parking lot onto route 20. I was not in the way of any cars as it was almost 1 in the morning. Is there such a traffic law?

Re: parking lot
The ticket will have a section number on it. That will tell you what law you allegedly violated. If none was issued, chances are it was a pretext stop to see if you were drunk or high.
You may have a civil rights claim if that is the case.
Good Luck.
