Pedestrian hit by van in NYC

A month ago, I was struck by a van while crossing the street in NYC. I had the right of way and was inside the crosswalk. It was broad daylight and there is a witness. I have a copy of the police report, but it doesn't have all of the driver's insurance information or telephone #. The medical bills are piling up and I need follow up care for my knees, however, I don�t have health insurance, nor do I have a full time job in order to pay out of pocket for medical care or a lawyer. Would someone please offer some guidance about what I should do? thank you in advance

You are entitled to no-fault insurance coverage from the driver's insurance company. You have to make the claim within 30 days or have a reason why you are late. You also may have a very good lawsuit against the other driver. I handle these type of cases on a contigency basis so please feel free to contact me.

You are covered by No Fault insurance maintained by the van's insurance company. We can help you set this up and it will not cost you a dime. You are definitely covered. Your medical costs are covered by no fault insurance. You also have grounds for a lawsuit based upon the drivers negligence.
