Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Is there a way that a person with a bench warrant on them from a traffic violation with a non-paid fine that is already incarcerated, upon release be re incarcerated for the traffic fine? And if so how can this be avoided?

You should write a letter to the traffic court explaining you are incarcerated and ask to be sentenced to Time served or to be produced in court for a disposition. They may take a plea in absentia form ( law library may have it depending on where you are incarcerated). Remember, to check the disposition for points and other ramifications.
