Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Prayer for Judgment Continued
I recently was ticketed for speeding near upstate New York. Since it was my first offense, the officer reduced the speed I was clocked at so as to not cause me to have the full 6-points added to my license. After reading up on the matter, I came across something know as the ''Prayer for Judgment Continued'', though I have only seen mention of it used in North Carolina. While I fully intend to take a defensive driving course to clear my license of the 4 points, I was wondering if there is any such PJC used here in NY, and if so, would it be helpful to try and apply for one?
