Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

How do I proceed to plead not guilty on a no seat belt ticket? I always wear my seat belt I just forgot to put it on when I got back into my car until I pulled up to a red light about 100 meters away and a police officer who was standing near the corner walked up to my car while I was trying to put it on.
