Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
If I am pulled over driving a friend's car which the insurance is lapsed, am I legally responsible for the ticket given?

Even as a non-onwner, you could be held responsible for an un-insured motorist ticket. If you knew or should have known that the insurance was lapsed, then you could lose. Losing is significant in that it involves a 1-year revocation of license and hefty fines and fees. Feel free to call us for additional info.
