Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
I got pulled over near Plattsburgh, NY. The police officer claims he used a laser gun on me and on the car behind me to stop us fo speeding - and that he clicked me at 83Mph. Well, he could not have known my speed as he claims because I had a laser jammer in the car, which went off when the officer shot me with the laser gun. Would it be a good enough defense to avoid getting a ticket?

No in NY a speeding conviction can be based on an officers observation or use of a radar, laser or calibrated speedometer. You might want to retain an attorney for representation. You may contact my office for a consultation @7188340087.
The "laser jammer" defense will not work. I wouldn't even mention it. But, there are many ways to obtain a favorable result. Our law firm handles many cases in this county and definitely recommending fighting it. You should fight it to save points and avoid an insurance increase.
