Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
I received a speeding ticket in the town of Nichols New York in march of 2004,I had a trial in a Nichols court that was left unresolved in May of 2004, Since then I have received nothing from the court or DMV regaurding this until today. I received a notice from the DMV that I have to January 29th 2011. There no stated fine amount or court date, the notice just stated I needed to appear there before the 29th and pay this fine or my license will be suspended. Can this legally happen with all the time that has passed?

There is more information needed before that question can be answered. The first thinng you should do is call the court and find out the disposition of the case and the relevant dates. You should also call DMV driver improvement RE: ifo they have on your license suspension. Good luck.
