Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

I received a ticket in Brockport NY on 5/22/11. The ticket says in violation of NYS v & t law sub section 1180D tr inf MPH 43 MPH ZONE 40. Supporting depo says "R/O stationary at 275 east av running radar observed S/V heading e/b on east ave. R/O visually estimated S/V traveling aprox 40 mph and confirmed speed with radar at 43 mph. I was pulled over next to a speed limit sign which said 40 and I pointed this out to the officer. Is there anything I can do about this?

It depends upon the tolerance of the speed detection device used, as well as the officer's tolerance in the estimation. I believe you have not only plea bargain possibilities but decent defenses available also. You may contact my office @ 718-834-0087 for a free phone consultation.
