Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
who is responsible?
My husband was driving a company truck, making a delivery. He stopped at a stop sign, started going across the road when a speeding car full of teenagers hit him. An officer ticketed my husband for failure to yield. He paid an $80.00 fine. Today he got a summons, naming the company he works for and himself in a lawsuit by the mother of the teenage driver. Doesn't the employer's insurance come into play here, and NOT my husband's personal car insurance, since it was a work related accident? Thanks for any info.

Re: who is responsible?
You are correct. Immediately give the summons and complaint to the employer.
