Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
my son got a following too closely ticket from an mta officer. my son pleaded not guilty. the officer did not show up on the court date. my son asked the judge for a dismissal. the judge denied it and rescheduled the court date. I thought that it was the procedure for the case to be dismissed if the officer does not show up. please explain if this was wrong. this is his only ticket ever.
