Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
My son, a college student living in Upstate New York, has incurred several parking tickets from the city where he lives. The car he drives is owned and registered to myself; I lend the car to him in order for him to attend college. Since the car is registered to me, the parking tickets have been issued against me. I live in, and the car is registered in, a state other than New York. Am I responsible for the tickets, even though I was not the driver of the car? If not, what needs to be done to resolve the tickets?
