Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
speeding ticket after parked.
I was driving down the thruway, saw two state troopers, and slowed down. One of them pulled out shortly after I drove by, and began to follow me. I pulled into the next rest stop, parked the car, shut it off, and took out the keys. The state trooped pulled up behind me and wrote me a ticket. Can they really write me a ticket after I'm parked before their lights are on?
