Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Speeding in a Work Zone
I'm from Wisconsin and while driving through Cuba, NY I was pulled over for going 75 mph in a work zone (55 mph). The ticket the cop issued does not have any information about fines or points. What is the maximum fine and points I could receive for this offense? Being from WI, how will this affect my WI driving record and insurance? I will be pleading not guilty. Thank you!

Re: Speeding in a Work Zone
Max fine is $385, including the surcharge. It is 4 points in NY. Also, if you get 2 work zone speeds in 18 months, your driving privilege in NY gets revoked.
As for the effect in Wisconsin, you should check with the WI DMV, and/or an insurance agent and/or lawyer in WI.
