Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Speedy Trial Law
Does the 120 day speedy trial law apply in the state if New York? I pleaded not guilty to a speeding ticket on October 1, 2007 and my hearing isn't scheduled until sometime in March of 2008. Do I qualify to use the speedy trial rule?

Re: Speedy Trial Law
There is no speedy trial rule applicable at Traffic Violation Bureau hearings. If that is where your case is returnable, you are out of luck. Also there is no plea bargaining. It is an all or nothing situation. You may contact my office for a free phone consultation.
