Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Summons for turning right on red
I am a Rhode Islander visiting NYC. I came to a complete stop at the corner of York and 73rd. I then turned right onto 73rd st, the light was still red at the time. My record is clean. There is no sign anywhere in the area that states "No Right on Red". Can I fight this violation? How should I go about contesting this violation?

There is no right turn on red permitted in all of New York City. Therefore, it certainly sounds as though you are guilty of the violation.
Good luck!
