Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
ticket for using cell phone while driving
I recently received a ticket for using a cell phone while I was driving at night in new york state. This is my first offense. That week I purchased a hands-free device and have been using it since. My courst date is next month and I wanted to know if by purchasing the hands-free device, would that possibly help to dismiss my ticket?

Purchasing a hands free device after the fact is no longer a defense if the ticket is returnable at Traffic Violations Bureau.
