Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Ticket
I was written three tickets for a traffic violation. The policeman never gave me a copy of two of the three tickets. Is it my reponsibility to obtain a copy of the ticket, or is it the responsibility of the cop to make sure it was handed to me? He told me he put a copy of them in my vehicle, but I searched my vehicle and they are no were to be found. He never handed them to me personally.

Re: Ticket
While the officer is supposed to give you the
tickets personally, the court will correct
this error when you appear on the ticket
he did give you, and then give you and
adjournment to respond
Your best bet is to hire a lawyer
