Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Traffic Ticket, with a twist
So I received a traffic ticket, for speeding, and the whole thing was a bit odd and only got odder. The cop did not even explain the ticket to me but when I looked at it later in the day, the signature on it is by a cop who died about a month earlier. There is something scribbled under the signature as well but the name of the deceased is not even crossed out. in addition my court date is either 7/12/06 or 9/12/06. I got this ticket 8/20/07. other things look like they were changed or attempted to but I was wondering.. what do I do?

Pleading not guilty and requesting a hearing is always recommended. Hiring an experienced traffic attorney in the area that understands the law is vital to not only trying to win, but to keep your insurance premiums lower for years to come. Paying a little today may save you two or three times in the future.
Our firm handles these types of issues and would be happy to help. I would need to review the ticket and see what can be done. Please contact my firm and I would be happy to assist.
Thanks.
