Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
What happens if a traffic ticket has the wrong time on it?
I was pulled over around 10:30 pm, However the ticket says 8:21 pm.
I have a receipt from a store that says I was there at 8:22 pm. Is there anything I can do to help my case? The charge was ''disobeyed traffic control device'' I was making a left turn into a fast food restaurant.

The court has the power to allow the ticket to be amended to correct an obvious error. At the trial of the action, you may dispute the time, however you can't dispute that you were pulled over and that you were the individual who the ticket was given to.
Sorry.

It goes to the officer's credibility if there is a trial. Depending on the court, more times than not they will reduce an 1110 down to a no point violation without a trial.
