can you get a ticket for drivinig a battery operated childs toy.

I have never seen one but I suppose that if you are driving it on the road, it could happen.
Section 125 of the VTL defines an motor vehicle as " "[e]very vehicle operated or driven upon a public highway which is propelled by any power other than muscular power..."
Make sure you keep it under the speed limit.
