Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Typical traffic infraction
I went out to get some groceries are a local deli on Saturday. I went to drive back to my home, was inattentive and made an illegal left turn. I was pulled over immediately by a local NYPD officer.
While I admit I made a mistake, it happens to everyone. I was wondering if I could plead the ticket down to a lesser charge with no points? A fine is a fine and I have no problem paying the fine as I was obviously wrong. I was afraid to ask for a hearing on the ticket because it says that the court will charge you more money in fines if the judge sees fit.
I have had a clean driving record for the past 7 years. My last ticket was for speeding in 2000.
Your advice is always appreciated.

Re: Typical traffic infraction
You can usually plea this ticket down to a 0 point ticket but it depends on which court it is scheduled. Plead not guilty and ask for a conference. Keep in mind, however, that in NYC, western Suffolk, Rochester and Buffalo, these cases are not pled down. Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions. Or visit my web site for my relevant info. www.nytrafficticket.com
Re: Typical traffic infraction
In NYC and BUFFALO and Suffolk counties these cases are all or nothing, either an acquital or conviction. In other counties this charge is regularly plea bargained. You may call my office @7188340087 for more information, this phone consultation is free.
