Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Another 7 children left out
My father just passed away. He had a girlfriend of approx 15 yrs. They owned houses together, vehicles in his name, equipment in his name & stock in his name (given as gifts) before he got sick. Then put everything in her name to evade medical bills. She has no intention of giving anything to his children, not even a tool or fishing pole. Do we have any legal rights? I assume, everything would have to be sold to pay the medical bills. Please reply.

If your father willingly transferred all his assets to his girlfriends name before he became incompetent, then, unfortunately, you have no rights.
