Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
I'm looking for advice from a New York probate, estate and litigation lawyer. I could really use some help with this as I am working pro se. I am a beneficiary of an estate. I have filed objections to the executors accounting and now I have to do the discovery.
Am I entiled to ask for receipts of some of the bills that were said to have been paid to prove they were really paid? What about proof of the real estate owned? Can I request from the executors lawyer statesments from the mortgage co. that will show how much is actually owed on the property? I think the executor under valued the real estate.
I am working pro se because I don't have the funds to hire a lawyer. Please someone help me by answering these questions. Please? With sugar on top? I have been looking everywhere on what to do and have not been able to find this very specific information. I really, really appreciate any anweres given. Thank you, and have a great day!!

You can serve a Notice to Produce for all relevant documents (bills, receipts, checks). You can also serve a Notice for Deposition of the executor if you have any questions.
