Amount of time for elderly care homes

My parents signed the house and contents over to us 4 years ago and they were interested to know how long the hospitals or nursing homes can go back, so neither of them will lose their home?

While I am not a certified elder law attorney, my recollection is that the "look-back" period 4 years ago was 3 years. However, I have not seen the Deed that was used or what language it contained that might bear on your concerns. If done correctly, this is probably not a question, but not enough information is provided to give a complete response.
