Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My aunt own half of a house the other half in in her brother's name My father. He dead and left me his portion (the deed still in his name I haven't changed it yet)but he wanted his sister to live there till she dies or sells her half (life estate). She been in a nursing home recently (stroke) and medicaid is looking at her assets 1) Is my half in jeoparty can Medicaid touch/sell/draw from my half of the house. Am I protected? New York Resident
