Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
my aunt passed away 2008, leaving everything to my cousin. I recently got a bank statement of her account with his name on it as well as mine for a money market. He has been shady through this whole process and we have proof he has not closed out accounts that she maintained while alive. Legally, can I withdraw money from this account since my name is also on the account?

The account may have been in trust for you and your cousin or it may have listed you as beneficiaries of the account. It would be helpful if you were to let me know exactly how the account was titled.
Whether you can withdraw money from the account depends upon precisely how the account was held.
But I'm going to tell you something that will save you a lot of time, trouble, and expense: Go to the bank and ask your question there. The bank will know exactly how the account was titled and what rights, if any, that you have.
Good luck to you.
