Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My brother died a couple of weeks ago, Being the only one alive expect for nieces&nephews;and cousins. He's had a next door friend that he left in charge of what's in the will, do not really know him. Another person still living at his house which he knew for 30 years. Now i think they are both in the will. My brother did live in flordia and i in new york. I stll don't know what really is in the will but i know i'm in it. I'm asking what are my rights in this matter.

Once the Will is submitted for probate, you are entitled to be notified of the probate, who is appointed to handle the estate and to get a copy of the Will. If you do not like what it says and believe something improper was done (like undue influence on your brother), you have the right to file a caveat contesting the propriety of the Will, and have your day in Court.
