Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My brother is the executive of my mother's will. He sold her house a few months ago and has not filed it with the courts or contacted me regarding the sale. Is this legal? What are my options?

This certainly is a problem if you did not receive a distributive share from the sale of the house. I would start with a letter to the attorney for the executor (your brother). If that does not work, you have the option of filing a petition with Surrogate's Court to force the executor to abide and make a distribution pursuant to your mother's will.
