Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
My brother is the executor of my mother's estate. He did his accounting and I don't think he including all the money that came into the estate and I think he said he paid bills that he hasn't paid. 'Our' estate attorney won't give me any information, saying my brother is their client and not me. But, I am one of 5 beneficiaries. Wouldn't I also be a client if the attorney was paid out of the estate funds. Is there any way I can demand to get this informtion from this attorney? Other wise how can get this information?

Consult with an experienced probate attorney and bring the will with you.
The attorney will be able to advise you of your next steps, which might include court intervention.

The attorney for the estate is not your attorney. If you question his actions, you must retain your own attorney. If they are doing anything wrong, the court may award counsel fees be paid.
