Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

What happens to checking account held in deceased (New York resident) and holders name? Does it get spllit among the heirs? There was a will dividing all assets among his heirs.

I do not understand what you mean by deceased and holders name? Was it a joint account between two individuals? If that is the case, it depends on the language in the joint account. Normally, with a joint account, the surviving individual receives the money. The money is not divided under the will.
