Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
My child is under age of 18. The executor of his fathers estate is very uncooperative.
It has been a year since my ex husband passed away, but there were no accounting submitted to court. What can I do in this situation? Is there a time fraim as to when accounting must be filed? It seems that time is passing by and we are steel don't know anything. On the top of it executor is terminally ill. Is there anything I can do as a parent of the child that must inherit an estate?

First, you may apply to be appointed guardian of your child's property. Then you will be able to file a petition to compel the executor to file an accounting with the court.
