Copy of will or trust

Do children of deceased get copys of last will &testament & or get 2 seelast will or any previous one.I have 2 email addresses. [email protected] or [email protected].. thank u.

They get copies if it goes to probate. If assets pass by operation of law (joint tenants,etc.) then there is no probate proceeding.

If the Will is probated it becomes a public record which can be viewed at the Surrogate's Court.

If you believe that there is a Will that you would like to review, you may initiate a proceeding to order the production of the Will by the possessor.

My condolences on your loss.

1. Once it is offered to the probate copurt, the will becomes a public record and may be seen by any person.

2. If you are a beneficiary, then you have a right to the most recent will that is in effect. Previous wills are not available unless there is litigation on the will.

Just being a son or daughter does not qualify you as a beneficiary. You can be left out of the will.
