Court Ordered Settlement

If a court ordered settlement states at age 18 all monies is to be released upon demand without any further court order to infant and parent or guardian once proof of age is provided can the court decide not to do so because the guardian continued to be guardian after age 18 this original court order was done in 1990, laws may have changed but would that invalidate original court order this is concerning a child who was left disabled from a accident

Re: Court Ordered Settlement

Unless the court modified the infant compromise order all the infant need do is go to the bank with a copy of the order and a copy of the birth certificate to prove he is over 18. The bank should give him the proceeds.
