Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Deeds

What type of deed do I need to file for a home I inherited from my deceased mother? The lawyer who handle the estate never got me one with my name on it and now I need one to qualify for a certain county program.

Re: Deeds

You would need either an Executor's Deed or an Administrator's Deed depending upon whether you inherited by will or by devise.
